What’s Bellingham SeaFeast all about?

Bellingham SeaFeast is a FREE two-day celebration on the shores of Squalicum Harbor dedicated to honoring our rich maritime culture, showcasing our thriving working waterfront, promoting the enjoyment and conservation of our precious water resources, celebrating the vitality of our commercial fishing and seafood industries, and indulging in the diverse culinary bounty that characterizes our corner of the Pacific Northwest

Delight in our local seafood bounty

Food Vendors / Indulge in local food vendors, each with their own seafood specialties. Will you find the best fish n’ chips of your life? Will seafood tacos be the hero of the day? Or maybe something new and unexpected will be the talk of the town? The food court is your oyster. Interested in being a food vendor?

Beer, Wine & Cider Garden / Take a refreshing pause from the festivities and unwind in our picturesque beer and cider garden right on the shores of beautiful Squalicum Harbor. Relish a variety of craft brews and ciders to pair with your seafood grub.

Root Beer Garden / Sure to be a favorite for the kiddos (or the kids-at-heart), our first ever Root Beer Garden with Mallard Ice Cream will be available on Sunday from 12-5pm.

Lummi Nation Traditional BBQ Salmon / Enjoy a plate of traditional BBQ salmon grilled by members of the Lummi Nation for not only a culinary delight but also a meaningful experience that honors their cultural heritage and deep connection to the land and sea.

Dockside Seafood Market / Shop a variety of local seafood species at Dockside Market straight from the fishing families who harvest them so you can continue your sea feast when you get home.

MARITIME HERITAGE

Explore the enduring legacy of our coastal communities

Boat Rides & Tours / Take a ride around the bay with San Juan Cruises or tour the All American Marine facility at Squalicum Harbor to see how some modern boats are built. Get Tickets >

Kids Boat Building / Swing by our boat building activity to create and decorate a wooden boat to take home with the Whatcom Maritime Museum.

Interactive Maritime & Fishing Activities / Brush up on your maritime skills, see if you can guess all the species of fish on ice and and explore a variety of ocean plant and wildlife.

Fish Tales & Ales / A SeaFeast after-hours storytime featuring fisher poets from around the region. Hear heartfelt, powerful stories of life in the fish lanes, songs, and poems that capture the essence and beauty of the rugged Alaskan fishing grounds. 6pm at Ponderosa Beer & Books. SeaFeast Salmon 5k / Loop around our beautiful waterfront during our first ever fun run through the harbor. Event is free but registration is required. Register here >

Sunday Speaker Series / Join us for speaking engagements featuring Rena Priest, Tom Crestodina & Tele Aadsen, Susan Conrad and David Neuman in the intimate setting of the Working Waterfront Coalition’s harbor office. Get tickets >

Whiteswan Environmental Exhibits & Digital Planetarium / Step into a digital planetarium that explores questions like "who am I?" and "where do I come from?" and connects us to our homelands and 13 moons. Where is the festival located?

 

A party on the shores of Bellingham, Washington

For two days each year we transform Bellingham’s waterfront into a seafood and maritime lover’s paradise. Located an hour and a half from Seattle and Vancouver, BC, our festival grounds are comprised of Squalicum Harbor and Zuanich Point Park. Festival activities take place in the Squalicum Boathouse, Fisherman’s Pavilion, and along the harbor docks and the park’s open space.
