Join SeaFeast as a volunteer at our annual festival on September 26 & 27, plus year-round events like beach cleanups and community conservation projects. It’s a fun way to meet people, support your community, and help celebrate Bellingham’s waterfront, maritime culture, and healthy oceans.

Volunteering Year Round

Volunteer opportunities with SeaFeast go beyond festival weekend. Throughout the year, we host seafood fundraisers, community art events, paint-and-sip nights, kids’ activities, senior paint nights, and other special events. If you’re interested in arts, community connection, or just finding ways to pitch in, we’d love to keep you in the loop. Volunteering at the Festival

Who/ You! Bring your smile, your can-do attitude, and your knowledge of Bellingham to help everyone enjoy SeaFeast 2026.

When/  

  • Thursday 9/24 – Festival set up from 2-5pm

  • Friday 9/25 – Festival setup from 3-6pm

  • Saturday of the festival – Bellingham SeaFeast, shifts range from 7am to 5:30pm

  • Sunday of the festival – Bellingham SeaFeast, shifts range from 8am to 6pm

What/ Volunteer opportunities are numerous and vary widely, you can read about volunteer roles here. Do you have a passion for sustainability with our Green Team? Want to learn more about people as a survey taker? Whatever you enjoy, we’ve got a spot for you!

Where/ Squalicum Harbor and Zuanich Point Park (at the festival)

Why/  Do good. Feel good! Bellingham SeaFeast wouldn’t happen without hundreds of helping hands from our community. Jump in for a weekend of fun and meet new friends.

Time Commitment/ Any 3 hour volunteer shift of your choosing + 1 hour volunteer orientation on Friday 9/25 from 6-7pm (we’ll have pizza for the in-person attendees!)
