Bellingham Restaurants by The Bay

Everyone in the Northwest knows Anthony’s seafood, and Bellingham is no different. With Anthony’s Hearthfire and Anthony’s at Squalicum Harbor, Bellingham’s waterfront has two exceptional options to enjoy the views and local catch. Their “Best in Season” and daily hot sheets mean you’re always getting the finest and freshest they have to offer!

Fresh Catches

The perfect spot to enjoy fine dining in casual wear (or a tux, if you prefer), Anthony’s offers an abundant menu from fish and chips to filet mignon. Enjoy the catch of the day prepared by an artistic crew of chefs, or spoil yourself with The Surf and Turf.

Rich Variety

Anthony’s Hearthfire Grill is a favorite for out-of-state visitors, offering delicious meals to satisfy every palate. From the juicy rib eye steak to the unforgettable crab bisque, you just can’t go wrong. The menu changes with the seasons, so be sure to check it out at different times of year. Plus, it’s slightly more affordable than their Anthony’s staple.

Local Eats

Perfect for a hot summer day, The Loft is a large, rustic space that pleasantly captures the seaside breeze. The scratch kitchen prepares locally sourced ingredients in ways that will make your mouth water for more. Enjoy your favorite fish tacos, cajun seafood macaroni and cheese, and luscious avocado fries.

What to Do on the Bay

Kayaking Bellingham Bay

Are your sea legs aching? Try one of the Community Boating Center’s Free Paddle Nights this summer, happening weekly on Thursdays. Or book an outing with Dragonfly Kayak Tours to get you on the water for anything from 3 hours to 3 days, exploring the wild coast of Cypress Island while soaking in the summer sun. They also offer a quick, 2-hour course to get you acquainted with a sea kayak. Have your own outing planned? Rent a kayak, fiberglass SUP, or inflatable stand-up paddleboard from Moondance Sea Kayak Adventures

Explore The Beach

There are a few lovely spots along the water accessible by the public. Starting in historic Fairhaven, Marine Park offers an idyllic spot to have lunch or launch your kayak - you can also reserve the park space for any large groups. Boulevard Park is just down the way, offering a boardwalk, a nice path along the water great for a jog, and a coffee shop to maintain your buzz. Little Squalicum Park is perfect for anyone with dogs in tow as it’s nestled in an off-leash dog area. Finally, access Locust Beach, perfectly set with large rocks great for sitting and patches of sand perfect for picnics. Or hit it up when the tide goes out for a delightful walk in the muddy sand. (The walk can last for miles so check the tide schedule.)

Yoga in Natural Light

The third floor of one of Bellingham’s oldest buildings, the Granary, has recently been renovated and upgraded to become a beautiful, wood-paneled space flowing with natural light. Bellingham Yoga Collective is an idyllic location to foster inner peace, self-care, and healing. Be sure to visit at least once during your stay.
