The Food

We are so excited to partner with Bellingham SeaFeast and Bellingham Dockside market to feauture the bounty and the people that make it happen.

Chef Matthew Boudousquie grew up on Lake Ponchatrain in New Orleans, LA where he couldn’t stop fishing. Yet is no stranger to the landscape here in Bellingham, as his father moved here when he was 9. He spent summers here visiting and mostly fishing with his older brother. When he discovered there were crawfish in Whatcom Falls was the moment he realized this was his second home.

This dinner is going to be a very special dinner for us to show our love of the Salish Sea all the way up to Alaska and the people who work so hard to sustain the waters.

The Bellingham Dockside market is the “farmers market of the sea”. If you haven't been you should go. There may be a mini seafood market with products available to purchase from the fisherperson included in the menu as well.

The Wine

The Orcas Project returns for their second time. The Orcas Project is a talented cooperative of some of the most talented wine makers across the PNW making some of the most amazing Old World style wines. They are FOOD wines. Chef Matt LOVES wine, he sold wine when the pandemic started, actually to the founder of The Orcas Project who also owns and operates the most adorable wine shop (Doe Bay Wine Company) on Orcas Island and soon a second location in Phinney Ridge. Cole, of The Orcas Project is one the most kind and knowledgeable wine professionals in the industry. If you haven't ever been to a wine dinner, want to learn more, or consider yourself a "foodie" or "wino" we are looking at you. Come celebrate with us.
